Digestivo cocktail recipe with tamarillo

You can mark the end of a long work week with a drink. Here’s a cocktail created by Ernest using tamarillo. It’s a great way to end a meal.

Ingredients:

  • Soda water
  • Simple syrup
  • Tamarillo core
  • A clear spirit (in this photo, lambanog was used but gin or vodka should also work)
  • Add egg whites if you’re not vegan

Procedure:

  1. Mash the tamarillo core.
  2. Mix with the other ingredients and shake all together.
  3. Enjoy.

“It’s good as part of a fizzy drink, what he made was what he usually does like a sour but instead of a citrus use the tamarillo na lang ‘tas shake, haha. It has a nice jello-type taste in drinks eh quite pleasant!” – says one of our team who first sampled the drink.

And what’s a digestivo, if you’re like the rest of our team who aren’t as familiar with cocktails? It’s a traditional Italian digestif or alcoholic drink served after dinner to help with digestion. In this case, we had it after lunch.
