What will you get in your weekly fruit & vegetable subscription box?

It’s actually more of a tampipi than a box. But the point is: we hear you! A lot of people who are interested in Community Shared Agriculture have asked about what specific produce they will get in their vegetable subscription box for the week.

Our Gulay Delivery team in Manila is no stranger to the experience. We cook in our homes ourselves, so we understand the need to mentally prepare for what we’re committing to in terms of the purchase.

This involves researching recipes AND making an inventory of your pantry spices, seasonings, and other ingredients. We know you need to determine if what you have in store would complement the fruits and vegetables you will get. Otherwise, the produce would go unused and would contribute to our community’s overall food waste. (Sayang!)

Gulay Delivery in Manila board

Enter the Gulay Board created by our operations team using Padlet. This Gulay Board is updated every weekend to show the projected contents of your gulay share for the next available delivery date . This projection is based on information we get from our partner farmers on Thursdays and Fridays. You can bookmark it to your desktop to help you monitor your subscription.

Check out the Gulay Board Here.

We also want to note that there may be last-minute changes, and you’ll be able to see these reflected on the board the morning of the gulay delivery, usually on Thursdays.

These changes could be related to challenges with transportation as we encountered during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from March to May 2020. But they could sometimes also mean a happy surprise like a little extra avocado!

If you haven’t already, you can get your weekly gulay delivery in Manila from our partner farmers by subscribing or renewing your subscription to Community Shared Agriculture here.
