Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 kg batwan (or sampaloc)
- 100 g kamote tops
- 1/4 cup calamansi juice
- 1-inch knob turmeric, smashed
- 1/4 cup honey
Procedure
- Combine all ingredients in a pot.
- Boil for 15 minutes or until batwan is has disintegrated.
- Strain.
- Serve over ice.
Kamote tops are rich in vitamins A, K B-Carotene, B6 and more. Meanwhile, batwan, the sour fruit famous among Ilonggos and Negrenses (Shoutout sa mga subscribers namin!) is rich in vitamin C.
